The Portofino Chronograph is IWC's answer to a question the collection had left open since 1984: what a Portofino looks like when it picks up a sporting edge without surrendering its dress watch manners. Design cues run straight back to the oversized IWC dress pieces of the 1950s and 60s — a slim polished bezel, long tapered lugs, rhodium-plated appliqués, and Roman numerals anchoring 12 and 6 beneath a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides — while pump-style pushers and a three-register layout with day and date at 3 o'clock give the 42mm steel case genuine wrist presence. This example dates to 2019 and presents in Very Good condition: the case retains its factory lines with light hairlines and minor handling marks from careful wear, the silver-plated dial is clean throughout with no blemishes or spotting, the day and date advance crisply, and the chronograph starts, stops, and resets to zero exactly as it should. The watch is running strong and keeping excellent time, and has been fitted with a brand new IWC factory alligator leather strap on a stainless steel tang buckle so it is ready to wear as delivered. It is offered complete as a full set, and we include a 1 Year Movement Warranty covering mechanical movement issues.
